Mark Lipes is truly great at what he does. I strongly recommend anyone with a dog in their family take time to send their puppy/dog to Mark’s training. His service is truly priceless.

Before choosing Mark at DognPooch to care for our little one I called many, many training facilities within about 200 miles of our town. Not only was DognPooch well priced and close by, Mark was the first person willing to speak with me personally and to send videos and references without me even asking. He answered my many, many questions with grace and authority.

We dropped our puppy off with Mark (though I think he might do pick-ups, too) and were pleased and amazed to find the training space not only warm and inviting but also spotless. This is huge and helped us feel great about leaving her there.

Throughout the two weeks that Puppy was in training Mark sent us videos and updates about her progress. She was trained with other dogs, cats, birds, people, in the park, on the sidewalk, in stores, and so so much more! When we picked her up she was happy to see us but also sad to say goodbye- another great sign that the training Mark does he does with kindness and a love of animals.

Mark showed us what to do and how to reinforce her training at home. He took time to practice with us and was able to tell us where we might need to try a bit harder or what might work best for us with her.

So, what does all of this mean now that we have her home? Our dog is AMAZING! She is such a joy to have around. She sits, stays, comes, heels, knows her place (which can be anything I designate as a place), listens for noises we make (pays attention to us) and so so much more. She no longer chases our cats or goes running around when asked to come, she doesn’t budge even when food is dropped on the floor near her. New training we’ve introduced also sticks extremely well.

Before DognPooch our puppy was what most would call a pretty good puppy- not too much biting, not too much jumping, regular potty training issues, in fact, my mother-in-law thought we were nuts for paying for training for ‘such a good dog’.

Now, our dog is a phenomenal dog! She can meet new people, sit with us at restaurants, stay on her place even in the garage (near loud machinery) or outside near squirrels and cars…I could go on and on. If you’re questioning the worth of such a service, please, please do it for yourself and your family!

I took my 12 month old Corgi to be trained in March. I was apprehensive never having left her before. Living on 11acres with occasional sightings of Mountain Lions and packs of Coyotes roaming, safety became an issue. Training with Mark was the best investment I ever made. During her days of training, I received videos throughout the day of her progress. These videos also help the owner train using the E-Collar. Mark was easy to communicate with and extremely helpful in each video. I would highly recommend training with Mark. It is obvious he loves each pet he trains.

HIGHLY recommend DognPooch for board and train. They are professional and communicative. Sending my Shepherd/Pitt there was a game changer. Not only did I get updates during her stay, but Mark walked me through how to continue the work he had done thoroughly when I picked her up. I’ve recommended him to all friends my with dogs. I would give him 10 stars but that isn’t an option.

Our 9 month German Shepherd did amazing here! I loved the daily videos updating her progress. She was well taken care of and came home a different dog! Mark did an amazing job and has been there to answer all of my questions after the training was completed

At 4 months old, our adorable Labrador puppy was becoming our worst “NIGHTMARE”! She was barking, jumping, nipping and biting at us until we were bruised and bloody! None of the training and socialization with food or treats we were using was working at all. I could not take her on a walk for fear that she would knock me down, and my husband would come back from a walk angry and frustrated. Our vet even mentioned medication to help calm her!

We were desperate for help and a better answer! After many Internet searches and watching countless videos, I called “DognPooch.” To my surprise Mark answered the call personally, and he calmly listened to our concerns about our “out-of-control” puppy. When Mark said that his training would help our dog, I was still skeptical!

Mark sent us many videos of his actual training methods and references without being asked for them. We took the leap and decided to give Mark’s training a try, even though we didn’t think anything would work with this wild puppy!

After one day with Mark’s training, we could not believe she was the same puppy on the many videos he sent us!

After one week with Mark, and many very helpful videos of Mark’s training methods, tools, and philosophy of dog training, we met with Mark to pick up our puppy. Mark handed us her leash and we walked around the park, then he showed us how to walk with her off leash and left us to walk with her on our own. It was so beautiful to walk with an adorable, calm, attentive puppy! Thank You Mark so very, very much!!

No more “Nightmare Puppy”! Now we have our “DREAM DOG”!!!
